Grandma Kennard's birthday Fondue tradition


1 bottle sparkling white grape cider or apple cider (24 oz)
1 clove garlic
1/2 pound of Jarlsberg Swiss cheese (or Gruyere)
 1/2 pound Emmentaler Swiss cheese
1/2 cup flour
1/8 tsp Nutmeg (more nutmeg than white pepper)
Sprinkle of White pepper
3 loaves of crusty French bread

Directions
Grate all cheese into a big coat with flour to thicken fondue. Cut your french bread into 1 inch pieces with a crust on every piece so it can be dipped in cheese easily. Pour Martinelli's cider or grape into your fondue pot on medium heat on the stove. Stir continuously adding the cheese on handful at a time, letting it melt between handfuls. Sprinkle with nutmeg and white pepper eat and enjoy
